JPNAP Launches new Internet Exchange in Sapporo

INTERNET MULTIFEED Inc. (Multifeed) will launches a new Internet Exchange (IX¹) in Sapporo, at the Hokkaido 2nd Data Center of NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE EAST CORPORATION (NTT EAST) on November 1, 2023.

Multifeed has been providing JPNAP services in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sendai, and will now open a new base in Sapporo, the core city of Hokkaido.
This will contribute to the strengthening of the content distribution infrastructure in Hokkaido, the efficient exchange of growing internet traffic, and the distribution of Internet interconnection areas concentrated in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
At the same time, we will provide optional services from the Sapporo area to the Tokyo and Osaka areas.

With the aim of further enhancing and expanding IX services through advanced technologies and services, Multifeed will contribute to the further development of the Internet and its reliability as a social infrastructure.

The point at which ISPs and other Internet carriers connect and exchange traffic.
