MFEED Launches TimeFEED standard time distribution service

INTERNET MULTIFEED CO. ("MFEED"; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koichi Suzuki) announced today that as of January 1, 2006 the company will provide the TimeFEED standard time distribution service in order to implement a safe and secure IT society. Via telecommunications networks, TimeFEED provides highly precise and reliable time data essential to increasing the reliability and safety of the exchange of electronic information such as electronic data and documents and electronic information itself

MFEED continues promoting dynamic and healthy development of the Internet and engage in pioneering work in providing services that contribute to improved reliability of the social infrastructure.

1. Service overview

The TimeFEED service consists of the following two services:

(1) TimeFEED Time Distribution Service

Provides high-precision time information that is traceable to Coordinated Universal Time[1] provided by National Institute of Information and Communications Technology[2], which is Japan's National Time Authority[3].

(2) TimeFEED Time Monitoring Service

Monitors the accuracy of the time clock in equipment at the time information distribution destination and investigates displacement from the standard time.

2. Service fees

(1) TimeFEED Time Distribution Service

Per distribution destination equipment:

  • Initial fee : 100,000 yen
  • Monthly basic fee : 200,000 yen

(2) TimeFEED Time Monitoring Service

Per distribution destination equipment:

  • Initial fee : 100,000 yen
  • Monthly basic fee : 200,000 yen
